Some where in My Heart

Once while sleeping, as the darkness deepened
The strangest scene crossed my mind
I could see my family, sitting by the fire
From another place, another time
I saw my Father, Mother, and Grandfather
All my Aunts and Uncles gathered there
Smiling at me, as if nothing ever changed
And the magic was everywhere
Oh my old ones where’ve you been for so long
I can’t count the years we’ve been apart
I just close my eyes and you’re back where you belong
Right there somewhere in my heart

Then I’m on  the road, a friend from long ago
That’s been dead and buried all these years
Talked  to me, like it was only yesterday
And you know he never seemed so real
My old dog  beside me dancing 'round behind me
All my troubles were finally gone at last
And in my heart I could feel them all again
All my memories alive from the past
Oh my loved ones where’ve you been for so long
I can’t count the years we’ve been apart
I just close my eyes and you’re back where you belong
Right there somewhere in my heart

And in my dream, they live again
Or is it only just a dream
When I close my eyes oh they’re back where they belong
Right there somewhere
Oh they're still there somewhere
Oh they're right there somewhere in my heart
